This is a midsize/midway(4.88" x 3.13") faceplate with cat6 jack, larger than a standard size wallplate(4.5" x 2.75"), which is great for covering gaps, holes, damage on wall that may have happened during installation.
         
Why Choose Midsize CAT6 Wall Plate: the standard size wall plate is exactly the same size as an old work box, this mean that if a larger hole was just for the gang-box or low-voltage bracket, standard-size faceplate may not cover all of it. Midsize wall plate is slightly larger and can cover more space.
         
Single gang mid-size wall plate, work fine with 1 gang old work box or low-voltage mounting bracket.
         
CAT6 jack compatible with CAT7/CAT6/CAT5e cable, to avoid slow down your network speed, you'd better make sure the entire configuration are CAT6 cables, if one side is cat6 and another size is cat5e cable, the speed will downgrade to cat5e.
         
CAT6 jack is removable. The wallplate is plastic and glossy finish. Screws are included for mounting.
