Versatile: The Platypod Basic is a sturdy and compact base that can be used on any flat surface together with the Platypod Grip Phone (Tripod) Mount (Sold Separately or in a Bundle), or virtually any phone tripod mount that has a 3/8 inch socket (not compatible with 1/4 inch sockets like the ones in most photography cameras).
         
Stability: Features a solid aluminum construction with a 3/8"-16 standard tripod mount for secure Platypod Grip attachment. Balances beautifully with almost any smartphone.
         
2.9" round aluminum plate, 5 mm thick with central 3/8 inch  16 stainless steel bolt.
